This preserve is 75% fruit with figs, sesame seeds, aniseed, fresh lemon juice, and just enough sugar to balance it out. Rich with fig flavor, the aniseed adds a nice touch of savory flavor to make it interesting. I have been known to use a bit of this as part of a sandwich spread or even added to a meat stew to balance heavier
