A pristine unmounted mint, with full original gum, example lettered 'IC', overprinted "SPECIMEN" type 9. A very scarce Queen Victorian specimen stamp in such fine condition. "SPECIMEN" examples were used solely by postal administrations for reference purposes to help spot any attempted forgeries. Accompanied with a 1972 British Philatelic Association (BPA) Certificate of Authenticity.
