Their vineyards and winery are located in the Val Arda
with parcels adjacent to Jean-Louis Dutraive's holdings in a vineyard site called “Champagne” and Jean Paul Brun’s “Grille Midi”
(The name stems from a parcel of vines remaining on this site that survived a desvastating insect attack that destroyed much of the Burgundy vineyard in the 1700s) The grapes are hand harvested and undergo a long fermentation in stainless steel tanks
a problem endemic to much of Sicily for the past 50 years
leaving all the easy refreshment and adding a little more character and depth
as it has zero sulfur and gets pretty funky after 30 minutes
