1999 Epiphone '58 1958 Reissue Explorer (Korina)Made in Korea in 1999, this was the Epiphone "Korina" model that was designed to replicate the original '58 Explorer on a budget. Made by the Unsung factory in South Korea, these are a higher quality build than modern Chinese Epiphones. Epiphone advertises these as having a Korina body with a Korina neck and a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3. 7kg's. the finish is clean with only light wear and the neck is straight with a fully functional truss and plenty of life left in the shiny frets

Currently loaded with master volume/tone knobs and a 5-way selector

other than that it doesn't seem to have been played much over the years as it has very minimal fretwear and very few signs of cosmetic damage

It's now been brought back up with the addition of a V brace in the middle and shoulder bracing alongside the neck pickup to raise the top back to normal and prevent further movement

The previous owner installed a chrome nut as pictured and the fretboard is missing a few inlays but nothing that impacts on the playing experience
