Lot 023 - Antique Cast Bronze Relief Tray “The Hangover” With Caricatured Figure And Imps, Circa Early 20th CenturyCast bronze tray with humorous relief decoration depicting a central figure suffering from a hangover, head in hand at a desk, flanked by two small imps striking with hammers and a cat perched on his head. Known in Scandinavian and European examples as Baksmllan (The Hangover), this motif was a popular satirical subject in the early 20th century. Tray shows age appropriate wear and some verdigris.
