Lot 015 - Vintage Hand-Carved Wooden Fork In The Style Of A Fijian Cannibal Fork, 11-3/4" LVintage hand carved wooden fork with three tapered prongs and notched geometric carving to handle, made in the style of traditional Fijian cannibal forks (icaboga). These forms were originally associated with ceremonial use among high ranking individuals in Fiji during the 19th century but were widely reproduced for the tourist trade in the early to mid 20th century. Dark patina with wear consistent with age.
