The Columbia River Gorge - photogravure print - The Weekly EditionThe landscape changes often and quickly as one drives East along the Columbia River from Portland Oregon. It is dramatic and serene at the sametime somehow. On this day I was striving to see pictures in places not marked by turnouts and view points. I was rewarded often with scenes that thrilled me. Hand pulled photogravure print is made with Charbonnel Noir 55981, Burnt Umber, and Madder lake red inks on Hahnemhle copperplate paper. I printed an

The space and light were fantastic and the session was productive

The pictures continue to start my imagination and trigger ideas and memories

While walking around the streets of Bohemia I see doorways like this and my mind wonders off dreaming of what is on the other side
