The creme de la creme of the Pflueger reel lineup was and remains the Bulldog trademarked "Golden West". What makes this reel very unique is the aluminum sandwiched between two layers of hard rubber to form the rims. Similar to the Hawkeye, the Golden Wests have nickel silver parts and a hard rubber handle as well. Most of the Golden West reels had a serial number stamped

The replacement was well done and looks very nice

The consignor of these Rube Cross flies has original

6" 12 cork grip in a medium to large cigar shape

The reel is in near mint condition with minor marks to the reel foot

Made for a 5 weight line
