Antique Opera Glasses or Binoculars in Original Leather Case Late 1800's - Early 1900'sThis is a pair of original antique opera glasses in their original brown leather carrying case. They are from the late 1800's to early 1900's. They are made of silver and brass metal and leather. The case is lined inside with silk and has an ornate gold metal push button opening and leather top handle. The opera glasses measure 4 inches or 10 cm in width. They are in very good condition for their age.
The sofa measures 2 3/4 inches in length
It has some light paint loss due to age
It is signed on the back
It also has a metal escutcheon but it no longer has a key to lock the box
It was made in Germany and is signed on the side Manufactured in Alemania and the other side says
It is written in Italian
The top rim has a couple of very tiny chips as photographed due to use but other than that
It would also be nice to hold pencil lead and accessories or even small pieces of jewelry
This is a pair of original antique Victorian German grandma and grandpa figurines from the late 1800's
