Sauvie Island Hay - photogravure print - Edition 2021I did not grow up on a farm, I am a city kid all the way through, my parents, however, did. I am drawn to farms and barns as subjects and I often find myself set up with my view camera looking out over a cultivated field. I wonder to myself if this comes from generations old genetic connections, these feelings of sustenance, and self provision. Or maybe it is the geometric forms carved out of otherwise chaotic landscapes. This hand pulled photogravure
