Lot 051 - Antique Copper Japanese Yatate Brush Inkwell With Sliding Loop And Hinged Lid, 7" LAntique copper Japanese yatate brush inkwell with hinged lid and sliding brush compartment. The main shaft features a movable loop with an additional ring, likely intended for attachment to a belt or cord. Yatate were portable writing tools used in Japan from the Edo period onward, combining a small ink reservoir with a brush holder to allow travelers and merchants to write on the go. Surface wear, oxidation, and patina consistent with age and use.
The back reads "Save the Planet
This means that all major functions work as expected and all keys type normally
but does have scuffing and scratching typical of a lunchbox of this age
