Dette Fly - ConoverFor sale here is an authentic Catskill dry fly by the Dettes the Conover. This fly comes from the collection of a Sullivan County sportsman who, as a kid, grew up around many of the legendary Catskill fly tiers. His uncle was also close friends with many of them. Most of his Dette flies were acquired from another private collector who over the years had regularly acquired his flies directly from the Dettes. Further provenance details will be provided

There are some small dents and chips as well as very light ridging in places

Nickel silver hardware with a provision for a 2 3/4" fighting butt (included and pictured)

The Wet tip has never been used

The rod is in excellent plus condition with light soiling of the grip

Varnished flamed shafts are wrapped green with black edges

Diameter is 3 1/4 inches

There is one large bisecting divider that runs the length of the case and eight smaller ones to be configured however you please

Actual weight on my scale is 6 3/4 oz

For sale here is a very scarce Wes Drain Steelhead reel

Gold and burgundy tipping at the winding check and male ferrules

This rod is 100% original with no repairs or damage

but this is purely cosmetic and doesn't result in a crack on either side
