Blossom Ball (Oil Lamp)This Blossom Ball is made from a white stoneware with crackle slip, iron wash and copper red glaze; the shell markings are from freshwater clam shells reacting with the surface creating 'man made fossil' imprints. It is multiple fired; the final firing in a wood soda kiln to 1300c. Each piece is unique; a reflection of our approach to the work and firing processes. It can hold water for flowers or paraffin lamp oil for an oil lamp. The wick (included)
