Lot 015 - Antique Pressed Bronze Oval Portrait Plaque Of Dante Alighieri In Profile With Hanging Loop On Verso, 3-1/2" x 4-1/2"Antique pressed metal oval portrait plaque depicting Dante Alighieri in profile, likely bronze though possibly copper, with integral loop on the verso for hanging. The classical rendering shows Dante wearing his characteristic laurel wreath and robe, executed in fine relief detail. Surface shows natural patination, light oxidation, and minor edge irregularities consistent with age and handling.
