Antique Inkwell and Stand with Snakes Decoration Gilded Bronze Metal and Glass Victorian Original 1800'sThis is an original antique inkwell from the 1800's. It is very unusual and is decorated with snakes on the top lid and side handles of the base. I think it is brass but it may be gilded bronze or ormolu. It is very ornate. It has a glass bowl that holds a glass inkwell pot. It is missing the other pot but these are fairly easy to replace. Other than that, it is in very good condition for it's age. I am not sure where it was made, possibly France. It
Shipping is quite expensive as the frame is very large and very heavy so will be much cheaper if you do not need the frame
It has 3 separate compartments inside with a metal latch hook closure on the front
It would have once had a key to lock it but the key is no longer with it
This is a gorgeous original vintage German pewter round serving tray
She has been hand painted and her skirt is the straw of the brush
It is in great condition with a nice strong hinge
She has glass sleep eyes
This is a lovely original vintage book shaped thuya burr or burl wood jewellery or trinket box
It no longer has the glass covering
a sewing box
It has a wonderful mouse illustration on the top
It measures 14 inches in height and 5 inches in diameter
