Hovey, Ph. G., Lynn, Mass. Fitted with the original metal lid with an H trademark. The labels printed words Tooth Powder were crossed out in pencil and replaced with the handwritten word mucil, likely shorthand for mucilaginous, suggesting later reuse of the container to hold dried herbal material.
